Hair should be about ¼ of an inch. This may vary depending on individual and hair type.
-
Please let us know upon booking if you have been on any topicals and/or medications that impact skin barrier health. These include Alpha and Beta Hydroxy Acids, Retinol/Retin A, Renova, Differin, Adapalene, Accutane, Antibiotics, Benzoyl Peroxide or medications that thin the skin. You may need to discontinue usage for a period of time, depending on the area.
-
For the body, gentle exfoliation is very helpful. This can be done the day before with a body scrub or dry body brush.
-
While we can still perform hair removal, you may want to schedule your services around your moon cycle. During this time of the month, the skin can experience heightened sensitivity, resulting in more discomfort during your service.
-
Limiting caffeine intake before your service is recommended. Caffeine stimulates the nervous system and increases blood circulation, which can result in more discomfort and cause anxiousness.
-
Post-care products are crucial for maintaining skin health after your service. They are specifically formulated to minimize ingrown hairs, keeping follicles clear of dead skin cell build-up and bacteria and providing relief from any residual sensitivity.
-
Avoid heat and friction for 24 hours after your service. Avoid any activity that will produce sweat, bacteria and inflammation. Activities may include exercise, steam, sauna, hot tub, and scrubbing the skin. This can irritate the hair follicles and/or increase chances of developing ingrown hairs.
-
If you are under the age of 18, you must have a signed parental consent to receive hair removal services.
